Barilla is an unlisted family business run by brothers Guido, Luca and Paolo Barilla. The company was founded by her great-grandfather Pietro Barilla, who opened a bakery in Parma in 1877. Today, Barilla is known in Italy and throughout the world for the excellent quality of its food. When Pietro Barilla opened his shop in Parma 145 years ago, he was primarily concerned with producing good food. Today, this principle has become Barilla's business principle. For example, 8,700 people who share these core values and a passion for quality are currently working for the company and within the supply chain.
